So, I just finished reading Heaven is for Real by Todd Burpo. WOW! I loved this book. It was so inspiring and life changing. I was raised Catholic and believed in God and heaven since I was little. But this made everything so real and vivid in my mind. The details and the images portrayed through Colton's eyes made me wish for that childlike innocence again. I have been struggling lately, and this brought everything alive in me again and made me realize the importance of life. How great is it though, that when we die, we get to spend eternity in heaven with God and Jesus. I loved that Colton's sister was in heaven, even though she had been miscarried at two months. The animals, angels, colors, and lights in heaven just filled my heart with love. I could not believe how much this story touched me. In the philosophy class that I am in, we are talking about the soul and whether or not animals have one. After reading this book, I truly believe that they do and that in heaven I will be my best self and be reunited with my family. My grandma died five and a half years ago. I think about her all of the time and how much I miss her. But when I die, and if I go to heaven, I know that I will see her again. I know that we will be reunited and I won't have to be sad anymore. I cannot wait to see heaven for myself and experience an eternity with God!

Me and The Help by Kathryn Stockett
so I thought I would start with a little bit about me. I love to read, obviously. I also like to watch tv. I like glee, grey's anatomy and bones the most right now.
I am so excited for bone's and booth's baby :)
I can't believe Glee won't be on for another month :(
I most recently read the book The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I then saw the movie. I thought that they were really good. I loved the part where Minnie gives the pie to Miss Hilly. I also thought that the entire theme of the book generated a lot of discussion. I read the book rather quickly and very much enjoyed it. I did not like parts of the ending as it made me cry. In general, I loved the parts with Miss Skeeter and Aibileen. They were my favorite characters. I loved Aibileen's stories about all of the children that she raised, especially the little girl she was raising in the book. The book really touched me and I thought that the movie was a nice representation of it. It really brought the story of the book to life.
